Grayscale Expands Sui Ecosystem Exposure with DeepBook and Walrus Trusts
Grayscale Investments has launched two new single-asset trusts tied to Sui ecosystem protocols DeepBook and Walrus, marking its second foray into the blockchain network after nearly a year. The MOVE comes as institutional interest in Sui grows, evidenced by Mill City Ventures' recent $441 million raise.
DeepBook, an on-chain order book processing over $10 billion in transactions, and Walrus, a programmable data storage protocol that secured $140 million from investors including Standard Crypto, now offer accredited investors structured exposure. The sui network itself has seen DeFi activity surge, with total value locked reaching $2.3 billion.
The trusts arrive as Sui demonstrates scalable infrastructure capabilities, with DeepBook serving as a liquidity backbone for decentralized exchanges. Grayscale's product expansion reflects growing institutional validation for emerging Layer 1 ecosystems beyond ethereum and Solana.
